How can I become a Christian?

Haven of Hope

Haven of Hope is a Christian Center of encouragement for Hurting people.  It offers individual and group counseling, developmental classes, a support group, and a "safe" place where people can come for a few hours and get encouragement and a break from life's constant pressures.

The Haven of Hope is open Monday through Thursday from Nine (9) A.M. until Three (3) P.M. Volunteers show Christian Love to the people who visit, talk with them, and pray with them.  Our volunteers have a prayer program as well as a letter writing program.  The prayer program is called "Rock & Pray" where the volunteers take and pray for people's prayer request.  The letter program is writing to people either in the local jail or in the Tennessee Prison for Women.

Regularly, we offer classes on Boundaries, Finances, Spiritual Development, Anger Management, Grief, and soon parenting.   Most of these classes are Eight (8) weeks long and meet one day per week at 10 A.M.  We give these classes at other times if there is a need and people want them.

On Thursday nights at 6:30, we have a Support Group for people with Hurts, Habits, and Hang-ups.  This is a time where we share, offer support, and encouragement to one another.  We help people find places for help with addictions and offer support when they get back.

If you would like to contact the Haven for more information or to get involved, please call us at 597-8978.

The Haven of Hope is financially supported through Plant-n-Prayers.  Click here to check out Plant-n-Prayers.
