Our missions and outreach team is responsible for planning local outreaches and national/international mission trips.
Missions
FBC takes multiple mission trips each year to several different locations. Below are the links to our partner organizations that work full time on the sites where our mission teams go.
Families on Mission (www.namb.net/fom)
North Country Ministries (www.ncministries.net) - Lake Placid, New York
We are partnered with NCM to do service evangelism at the annual Ironman Triathlon
Living Water Ministries (www.livingwateraz.com) - Naco, Arizona & Cuautehmoc, Sonora Mexico
We are partnered with Tim and Jennifer Scarbrough at Naco Baptist Church to reach the people of Naco, AZ and the surrounding region.
REAP South (www.reapsouth.org) - Southern Peru
We have adopted the town of Coracora, Peru. There are no churches in Coracora. Our goal is to see a church started. Come join us.
We are partnered together with Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Cookeville, TN to reach Coracora.

To signup for any mission trip, with the exception of Families on Mission, please grab an application from our service board and turn it in to the church office. To signup for Families on Mission use the link above and select the trip you want.
March 7 - 14 - Living Water Ministries - Purposes: Bible club, prayer evangelism cards, construction work
April 16 - 24 - Peru, trip leader is Bobby Sebastian from PGBC (if you want to go on this trip contact pastor Mark asap)
May 29 - June 6 - Peru
June 6-11 - Families on Mission - Southwest Virginia
June 20-25 - Families on Mission - Cherokee, N.C.
July 22 - July 28 - North County Ministries - Purpose: Service evangelism at the Ironman Triathlon
Sept 3 - 13 - Peru
Lighthouse Christian Camp
Lighthouse is a camp for kids and teenagers here in Smithville. We have opportunities to serve by helping maintain the grounds and by working as a counselor during the kids' camps.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is planned for fall break. Dates forthcoming.
Service Evangelism Outreaches
First Baptist has regular service evangelism outreaches that minister to the people of Smithville through meeting their needs and sharing the gospel with them.
