Music
The music ministry at FBC Smithville is all about teaching and enabling worship. It is our goal to worship the Lord "in spirit and in truth", offering Him our very best. Everything we do is aimed at turning people's hearts toward God and His word.
Stylistically, we embrace a wide variety of music at FBC Smithville. Since true worship is not determined by style, it is not the primary driving force behind the music in our services. Rather, we try to communicate the truth of God's word effectively while helping people of all ages and backgrounds worship Him genuinely.
If you would like to get involved with this exciting ministry, there are many opportunities. Our Sunday morning worship hour is enhanced by our adult Sanctuary Choir and small ensemble music. Children of all ages have opportunities to learn about worshiping God in our weekly children's music programs. Those with instrumental talents can use them freely in our special music ministry and congregational worship. All of these ministries are accessible to any who are committed to God's work at FBC Smithville and have a desire to share their gifts with others. See Worship Pastor Anthony for more details.
Rehearsal Schedule
Sanctuary Choir: Sundays, 5:00-6:00 pm
Kingdom Kids Preschool Music (ages 4-5): Wednesdays, 5:30-6:00 pm
AWANA (grades 1-5): Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30 pm
Praise Team: Monthly rehearsal (schedule varies, see director for details) |
